A play list for a week saturday :eek: , theres 9 1/2 hours here....
The ones highlighted in pink/mauve are for the background music.
I haven't asked them what colour socks to ware yet , but I expect they will tell me.
On the bright side , I can make a good evening out of about 80/90 of those....:D :D

I got a big list of around 45 songs for my wedding saturday past,most of them were playable but the grooms mum told me to stick with what i thought was best and would get everyone up dancing.

No , I have emailed the client and told them that to play the whole list is impossible , they had no problems with that , they also added that I should go with the flow ....( now they tell me) , on the other hand , this weekends wedding only has 12 songs on the list.
On my paperwork I send out there is a page of songs/genres not to be played, and sheets to be played , I explain that 20 songs is roughly an hour 40 songs etc etc , my to be played list has up to 100 requests , I dont insist they fill the whole lot out , its up to them.
Each to their own , I would hate to turn up "blind" to a 40th birthday , to find out they want 5 hours of ska/trojan ( some on here could pull that off....:D ),
fortunately , or unfortunately , depending on your point of view , there are no rule books on being a DJ.

With that playlist you've given, personally, I'd be inclined to just play the Motown. :D

Playlists seem to be about more and more and if stuck to can kill an event. I try to limit mine to 10 must haves and get the event organiser to tell me what they defiantely do not want.
Even when playing music at a club or a party that I have free hand in the music choice, I will not know exactly what I will play to get everybody dancing, so how can someone writing a list 5 weeks before the event know what will work
