Hi all.
Had a cracking night on Saturday playing to a wedding celebration party (the wedding itself and reception actually took place in New York in June). The playout kit I was using was a Denon HC4500 Midi controller and a Numark KMX02 Mixer/CD unit as my mixer - a combination I have used many times as the built in CD units provide me with instant back-up and the ability to use CD as well as digital.
Whilst doing my soundcheck I noticed that tracks played on deck 2 of my midi controller weren't playing through the left channel. The right channel of deck 2 was playing fine, as was left and right of deck 1. Both left and right channels of deck 1 and 2 CD players were playing fine as well.
I first suspected the midi controller but I eliminated this from my enquiries by simply swapping the leads from deck 2 of the controller to input channel 1 of the mixer. This played fine. I solved the problem *short term* by switching my mixer from stereo to mono but that was only to get me through the night. I still prefer to use stereo.
Am I looking too hard and Could this be a simpler problem than I anticipate or is this almost certainly a manufacturer's repair job?
