Just noticed something,

when a client contacts discos listed here through the "Mobile Disco Contact Form" a copy of their message also gets sent to admin@mobiledisco*****...

Why? :embarasse

Probably for SPAM checking...I would imagine. For all you know, and I would imagine, ever transaction is also stored in a database on the site's server.

Not sure to be honest.

Though, I'd hardly call it a breach of privacy. I'll ask Richie next time he's on.

I guess it is in a way, as i thought emails were confidential between two parties?

Well sure it would be breaking privacy Unless it's stated in the terms and conditions at sign up stage of advertising your business for free/for a nominal fee that all mail sent through the server may be monitored for spam and security reasons.

It may be mentioned too in the conditions of use for a user using the website to find a local disco that their initial communication may be monitored for spam and security reasons.

Well I'm d@am sure that none of the site owners or admins have the time to read them so I wouldn't worry about it.

I can answer this one. It is for spam checking, the emails are not read but if a bulk lot of emails are sent all from the same email address, they are then investigated and action is taken against the spammer.

The usual mails of one or two enquiries are instantly deleted as not to clog up my server.

This is primarily to stop all advertisers here receiving bulk mail from spammers via this site.

Just to note: Only the initial enquiry emails from this site are monitored.
