I want to introduce some new acts for our (v.small) club, as we seem to have the same faces and I'm looking to change in 2012.

I'm trying to avoid agents, just wondered if anyone could

a) recommend acts in the South East/Kent

b) recommend any web sites where you can book the acts directly.

We usually have solo/duo acts.

Thanks

Not necessarily - but historically it has been - from Cockney Evenings to Bavarian Nights - but lately one man and his guitar

I know someone who does hypnotism. If that's the sort of thing you're after then I can let him know.

When I had my pub in Faversham I booked a blues brothers act they were also from Kent, I can dig the business card out of the loft if you wish, They were fantastic, Also from Kent is a guy I booked who sings with a guitar but is very funny, Especially his version of "simply the best"

Thanks Hammy - may have seen the blues brothers, but there are quite a few of course - is the guitar player called Ray? - we've booked him and he did some comedy numbers

Hi Dave

Hullabaloo (http://hullabaloo-uk.com/) are fantastic mate - I've worked with them a couple of times, and when they launch into the modern setlist the place goes mental.

I've also worked with The Indie Killers (http://www.theindiekillers.com/) earlier on this summer, and they are on a different level, brilliant audience interaction, more energy than you can shake a big stick of poo at, and nice guys to boot!

Alas have the feeling the majority of our usual audience may walk out from the Indie Killers - muttering "too loud" "it's not proper music" etc :D :D
