Mackie SWA 1501 under a deck stand.

Hello,

I am just wondering if I was to place my Mackie SWA 1501 active sub woofer under my deck stand or my new Deckstand Booth Pro v2 (once purchased), will it effect the sound in anyway?

If I remember rightly, bass is omni-directional so wherever the bass bin is placed, you will still hear/feel bass in the room/on the dance floor?

Any help would be great!

i run my k sub under my booth and also the swa 1501 or in this weekends case both :) it works fine though i do find that my printed cloth frontage acts as a baffle and bounces some bass back id imagine this would be the same for a thick star cloth or similar

Yes bass is omni-directional; there are various things that can affect the amount of bass, for example putting a sub in a corner. The cloth may act as a baffle but I don’t think it will heavily affect it.
When your neighbours are out set the sub up and see if there is a difference with and without a cloth in front of it. ;) :p
