I have a few regular venues where there are really good places to place uplighters, but can't due to the logistics of running the wiring. So....I'm looking to buy something to send the dmx signals wirelessly to the uplighters.

However...I don't know where to start. What's the most cost effective way to do this? Any links to products will be greatly appreciated. :)

thanks in advance. :beer1:

How quickly are you looking for this, Shaun?

Reason I ask, is because (from chats at BPM) there may be something VERY suitable, and cost-effective on the market in the pipeline.

Can't say too much on the forum yet, but it is possible that MDD members may get a chance to have some input during development, too. :zip:

Unless you are willing to pay a small fortune for the transmitters and receivers then I wouldent bother. The top of the range is buggy at best and not totally recommended for mission critical use. don't know why but it's not what is hyped up to be or as reliable. Just remember the headache it caused at the festival. We gave up on it and put in a 50m cable in.

Use the Slimline229 uplihgts as these had a controller built in so that you can set any colour on each unit. Once you have decided on the colour it is quick to copy the settings to other lights. Not quite as flexible as DMX but I use it alot for those locations that has power but not DMX.
