Following on from another thread - I am looking for lighting with gobos that are flowers. Any ideas please?

Perhaps a cheap and cheerful gobo projector? then purchase one or 2 pre-designed gobos from projectedimage.com?

When I mentioned it on the other thread, Darren, the image I had in my mind was maybe having gobos in moving heads sweeping slowly. Are your moving heads LED?

2 of them are, but they are wash heads. The others aren't.

I think the American DJ Vizi Spot LED are the about the cheapest LED Movers with replaceable gobos. You could buy a pair, use them, and then sell them to me at a heavily discounted price ;-)

I'd echo that. Maybe consider either the Martin PR1, or the Optikinetics Solar 250 if the budget it there; the 250 is a very versatile little projector, but the accessories aren't cheap.

Both take standard 'D' size gobos I believe - albeit via a gobo holder or rotator that slots into the gate in the 250 - and I'd add Rosco / DHA and Goboland as another few sources to check out if you go down this route, whether you buy stock or custom.

In fact, regarding the PR1, there is one on eBay right now that may be worth a look.

The Solar 250 takes a 50mm gobo or a 35mm slide. Slides are a much cheaper option as they can be produced for a few pounds in full colour rather than a few hundred pounds for glass GoBo. Don't last as long but good for a few nights

The old led xmoves have a flower (well like a daisy), they've dropped that gobo on the new r series ones though.. Someone may have a pair for sales though... :)
