Right then folks. I'm going to strike while the "networking" iron is hot and see if we can get Benidorm 2012 off the ground.

The important thing at the moment is get flights booked before the prices go up too much.

Sooooo, how do feel about going Sunday 15th - Thursday 19th of April? Mainly done to avoid the Easter weekend (7&8)

I'll stick a poll at the top and we can go from there, I'll also find some flight prices etc.

I had a look a few weeks ago and i could get flights and 1 weeks all inclusive for about £300 flying from gatwick

For 4 nights B&B it comes in at £236 per room for double or £174 for a single. So if you get a double (Twin) it'll be £118 each.

The hotel is smaller than the one we stayed at this year but does have the benefit of a bar by the pool that is actually open & also FREE wifi. I've stayed there earlier this year and the place is alot nicer than the Pelicanos.

Location is excellent so no problems getting home.

Southampton are FAR too expensive... so it might be gatwick or heathrow for me.

Hi Alex if same as last year Ryan air only pulled out of Bournemouth for the winter, im looking for flights anyway from bmh for that time will give you as yell if i find anything

Just thought as the weather is proper miserable at the minute the idea of a few days in the sun would cheer people up :D

Now looking back we had 5 say "Yes" but there were a couple (one notably Danno) that couldn't do those dates.

How does everyone feel about slipping it a week so it'll be 22nd - 26th April?

On the plus side it'll be a week warmer and it's St Georges day while we'd be there and I've no doubt it will get celebrated in Benidorm :D

Booked Ryanair OUT of E MIDS SUN 22 APRIL 2012 1200hrs (It's their only flight to Alicante that day)

RTN ALICANTE to E MIDS on Thursday 26 APR at 1435hrs

I haven't booked hold baggage or pre booked seats and it came to £95.98

We can sort hotels nearer the time.

Had a look at accommodation today and we are looking at about £40 - £50 per room per night in a nice hotel, you could split that 2 ways if you wanted too also (so £20 - £25 each a night) for those of you not good at maths :)

Will be booking hotel probably tomorrow, is anyone else up for it?

Very true, it was the trip to SAGA oops sorry Mallorca tripa few years ago that I first met Ben, Danno Neil etc and it's been invaluable I certainly would be doing as much as I do now without the "networking"

Anyway here's a couple of hotels to wet your appetite ;)

It'll cost you £227 for a double room, £168 for a single incl Buffet breakfast included.

I've personally stayed here and the rooms are good, pool warm & bar is next to the pool. There's also free wifi in the reception area.
Location it is just around the corner from the middle street of the strip next door to I think it's called Jokers bar so only a short stumble home :D

This one comes in at Twin room £207, Single room £158 :eek: incl Breakfast

Located nearer the old town but still within reach of "networking" venues. Tripadvisor has decent reviews and according to the spec it has wifi....and a slide into the pool!

Obviously there's plenty of hotels in Benidorm, these are just 2 of them.

I'm ready to book so let's get it sorted ;)

Just finished chatting to Ben who's spoke to Danno and I have now booked 4 rooms for those that are confirmed as attending at the Helios hotel http://www.hotelheliosbenidorm.com/

There's 3 singles and one double booked so that's all sorted now.

As far as I can make out I'm heading out of East Midlands on the same 12.00 flight as the majority but returning on the 21.30 which is pants as it means I can't catch the train back to Market Harborough. Never mind it will work itself out :)

Beds wise the Helios is full but those that couldn't get in there are staying at the "Servis group" hotel that's opposite the Helios.

If you Facebook Baz he'll let you know the details of the other hotel.

Also if you're on the 12ish Ryan Air flight book yourself a shuttle bus place. I think it was approx £3.50 ew when I last checked.
