Used a pair a couple of years ago at a marquee wedding and they sounded ok as far as I can remember!
Studio Spares do a very similar bass bin and may be cheaper http://www.studiospares.com/pa-speakers/studiospares-fortissimo-15a-sub-bass-active-single/invt/248270/

I've used these and they are IMO not bad.
The bass is 'not in your face' but more toned down the down sideis the weight - bit bulky and awkward.

I had the Carlsbro powered gammas a while ago and I assume they haven't changed much. I'd avoid them because:
the cabs are heavy and very difficult to handle
the bass is floppy rather than punchy
the 126db claimed is perhaps a little generous.
they are not very stable with a pole and top speaker

Never had that problem with my Mackies on the top. :)
Not a lover of Carslbro stuff. Unreliable in my opinion. Not used this bass though. I would not personally entertain anything Carlsbro ever again.

i listened to them earlier and they sounded ok to be honest. they werent to heavy and didnt take up to much room in the car but i didnt buy them. I tried knocking him down to £150 otherwise im going to get the alto tssub15 but cant listen to them anywhere local.
