Steve Jobs former CEO and Co-Founder of Apple Inc Died today.

A great shame in my opinion.

OMG just seen this RIP Steve Jobs,

Weird he quit/retired etc and now the sad news comes that he has passed away :eek:

Dave, he announced in 2004 that he had pancreatic cancer.

Had a liver transplant in 2009 and hadn't fully recovered from that. Has been unwell for the past 2 years and hence the reason he resigned as CEO and remained in place as chairman.

But I know his creative genius will live on through his memory.

RIP Steve Jobs. A true master of creative masterpieces.

I knew he was really ill, this was evident from the fact that he decided to step down as CEO, but I didn't realise it was that bad.

It's testament to the man's genius that a majority of his target audience will have learned of his death on a device that he, himself, invented. Not many people can stake that claim (apart from the fact that they'd be dead!).

On Radio 1 this morning, they were paying tribute to him and they said that having Pixar as 3rd on your list of achievements speaks volumes for the man.

Steve Jobs is a bit of mystery to a lot of people who know very little of him. However, his returning to Apple was the catalyst that totally changed the company's fortunes and turned it around to the position it is in today in the world technology market. No mean feat at all.
