Well guys and girls,

As most of you know I've had a rubbish ( can't swear on here ) 2 weeks... but hopefully things are going to get better!

I think I've just managed to track down a long lost friend!!

When I was growing up, he was my best friend! I would love my summer holidays as he would visit Portsmouth and we'd have 6-8 weeks together having a blast!
I haven't seen him in 12 years since after ALL his family moved upto Doncaster.

Unfortunately I lost his contact details years and years ago... and if I'm honest ( without sound stalkery...) I've been trying to track him down for YEARS!

I'd tried facebook, 192, friends reunited....etc...

Last time I tried was about 1 year ago on facebook... tried again today and by god, I think I've found him! :)

Sent him a message... so hoping for a reply!!

Really hope it is him.... as I could do with a bit of sunshine again! :D

Thats what facebook is all about IMO. I have found a few people on there I didnt think I would find again.

:beerchug: see social networks aren't all bad ! I found my natural mother on friends reunited many years ago, but because I wasn't a full memeber I couldn't send her a message. But then again what would I have said ? Anyway good luck Alex, hope you have fun reminising (sp?)

Update for ya all...

Well after giving up hope of getting a reply from my old best mate.... after being offline for 3 days, I've just got back online and found a message waiting for me!

He remembers me which is great... and we've started a coversation :) So fingers crossed.... such a shame he lives in the north and I live in the south!

Well you could always stop over half way up. Just make sure you've got your passport for the Watford Gap!

Hope you get to meet up and become friends again. I recently found an old friend on facebook through his sister and friend requested him. Just today I found out he took his own life on tuesday night. I know it wouldn't have made a difference but I wish I had a chance to chat to him amd hang out again. RIP John.
