I have not bought from them before which I am ashamed to say as i know Dave - but Blue Aran is just round the corner so I often go to them if they have an item in stock which elevates postage cost and the time taken for delivery.
However:
I needed a light for this weekend for cake lighting and non of the local suppliers had any 4 watt led pinspots.
I talked to Paul who mentioned RSD - doh why did i not think of them before.
I phoned them up and Dave was very helpful and picked out the Chauvet which was £10 cheaper than the ADJ one and I must say is perfect for the application.
its free delivery on orders over £50 so I ordered an LD duel speaker bar and another light fitting top hat for speaker stands - total £50.40.
Anyway - it was delivered first thing this morning (ordered 2pm yesterday) so that combined with the free delivery and excellent service deserves a :beer1: for RSD music and Dave Reed. :)
I will certainly shop with them again.
They have an excellent rural shop on a farm yard and a brilliant PA and lighting showroom.
Well worth a visit and the SC NADJ is being held there next month too.

Sorry, but this is what disco shops do, so why the 'Big up'?
You ordered a product and it was sent the next day, what is so great about that Toby?
Sorry to be negative, but it's not great service - it's what should happen.

I have to agree.
Yes, it's nice to big up people when you get a good service but as said already, it's what they are there for. Next day delivery should MEAN Next day delivery.

Why the negativity guys?
We all know there are alot of online places and retail shops who are the specialists and the customer service is not all that nor are their service.
I for example have used two of the main retailers and visited their stores, but have to say that I have not been very impressed with either - so its always nice to know about a company that DOES look after us!!!

By doing what is expected, nothing more nothing less?

Why should we be grateful for people doing what they are supposed to do? Save the praise for those who go above and beyond what is expected.

I have been disappointed by a couple of fairly big retailers lately so I agree its nice to hear of one actually doing what they say but on the other hand I do agree its what we should expect and shouldn't be a big deal.
I think it fair to say I have used most of the large players and haven't yet found one that is consistent every single time.

Agreed.
It's a real shame that a lot of them don't practise what they preach.

One the the big online hitters I've never had any real problems with is a company I'm sure most dj's on here will have bought from at some stage.
Of course I'm referring to Amazon. Had a couple of issues with downloading using a dongle ( My fault, not theirs) I had a signal cut on the dongle and lost the track mid-download, Got back home rang them and they instantly sent me the track again. No trouble whatsoever. They once did send me 4 copies of AC/DCs If you want blood. You've got it album. When I only ordered one. Dead easy to send them back. Not charged.
However that's what they're supposed to do. That's why I continue to use them.;) ;)

Oh well whatever.
I just think the service was good as it was an item a few of the other big retailers did not have and he took the time and helped me out.
Some companies are really miserable.
It all arrived on time that morning so it was a 20 hour delivery, which tbh I was not expecting as I have been let down by other retailers in the past.

CPC frequently deliver in less than 24 hours (depending on when you order obvoiusly, I'm not talking ordering in the morning & receiving that afternoon) as do Terralec.

It's when it doesn't arrive on time that the problems start. When a company does what they promise, that's how it should be. When they exceed theiir promises ( or conversely break them ) then that's noteworthy.
PS, I'm with Steve here in praising CPC, though considering what he spends with them, I'm surprised it isn't hand delivered by flunkeys. :D :D

Another thumbs up from me for CPC. I often dont order until late afternoon or early evening and the only times it doesnt arrive the next day (usually before about 1pm) is when I order on a Friday, in which case it arrives Monday.
Is it true that theres nothing available at Daves shop for less than £450? :)
