Anyone help me with my two problems.
1st problem one of the speakers ever so often sound keeps cutting out for about 2 seconds then comes back on.
2nd problem one speaker doesn't sound as loud as the other ( the one not cutting out ) can anyone help than you

Although I dont use RCF ( nice Speaker) sounds like possibly a cut out / overload component on the blink=my speakers have a horn driver protection that cuts out if over driven.

For both problems best test all leads with spares as well as thoroughly waggling around a bit whilst playing music( in case of plug connector problem) as well as checking its not your mixer by changing it for another one and the leads.

Also check the playout and connections as well.

If that lot fails down to the repairers.:daft: possibly a fault with either the speakers or the onboard amp/ cut outs.

As theyre Active speakers i would be inclined to take them both to a qualified
RCF service engineer for a full check over
( might be expensive though) provided that youve proved by sustitution that the fault lies in the loudspeakers and not the cables or mixers or program source. Thats a real downside to active speakers .Theyre very difficult and arkward to repair.

Next time your over nip them into Andy's (aksents). Will save a lot of time trying to find the problem.

well it didn't do it when i plugged in my back up psr8a speaker

Or take them to the Speaker meet coming up a week on Sunday. I'm sure someone there will sort them for you;)

Might have to message andy and pop down to darlo to be looked at.
Think its time to invest in a new sound system maybe some fbt promax 12a or 14a actives

Yep, as I said to you the other day, shaun, the amount of gigs you do, your rcfs must be like new - forget new speakers and concentrate on getting some business so you can actually use them. Pick up the phone, ring Andy, drop speakers off and you will probably get them back at the speaker meet - job done, end of story.
