Can anyone tell me how to get a listing onto page one of google?

I recently started up a dedicated wedding website for my business but as such i have only the one booking since june. Not even many enquiries.this could be down to my poor google listing.

I have included various key words like wedding dj,wedding disco, wedding entertainment ect but still i dont get many enquiries.

What do you suggest???

If you can tell me the exact formula for a guaranteed 100% packed dancefloor at every single type of event from the first song of the night 'til the last, I'll tell you how to get page 1 of Google guaranteed ;) :p

In other words there is no guaranteed way. Its all down to the SEO !

You'll get sandboxed so it'll look like you're doing well but SEO is key!

What have you done to get people to your site? Social media is brilliant for this

You're speaking more of Twitter rather than Facebook though Neil aren't you? I seem to remember you telling me at BPM;) ;)

You know what I have no memory of BPM so not even sure I went :D

Seriously though twitter with the way its setup is easier to get the message out there to more people than facebook IMO.

I haven't been using Twitter for very long, how do you get the message out there and get people to follow you?

I strongly suggest you put your location in the key words - think how you would search for a disco in your area e.g. disco's in Fife. Also by updating your website often and creating good links are a way of increasing the rankings.

I haven't updated mine for a while and it's dropped to the bottom of page 1 when I search "disco in Beverley" although it's the very top in the "Places for disco near Beverley, North Humberside"

To get people to follow you, you should get your friends to follow you first (especially if you have any musician friends - or even better - DJ's).
And then make sure people know you're 'out there' by replying to tweets.

I have a twitter account but never really used it so am interested in this line of promotion too :)

If I knew that I would be a rich man. :p

Just build a good site with lots of strong links and wait would be my advice.
My one main suggestion would be to put a link on your signature and link the site to all 2000 (almost) posts you have made. ;)

Give us a link to it and the more brainy members can have a look.

Well twitter will have a snowballing effect. Just interact with your followers and every time they mention you it exposes your name to all of their followers. Keep using the "who to follow" feature but make sure you only add people of interest. Stick with it and in the long run twitter will yield you good results.
