Hi there

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section,

This has been posted before but as the website is going ahead next week I would like to go over it.

So then my name at the moment is "Melt Music DJ" but I am not sure weather to go for "Melt Music Entertainment".

I know for certain I'm going for one of these names I know you guys are not keen on "Melt" but I really like it. In the next 2 years I will be offering some other services like uplighting so I would what this name to fit with my business name but I don't think this effects which name I go for anyway.

Please help because I just can't make my mind up.:confused:

Stick to DJ as I can't see you becoming a multi op anytime soon. Makes it easier to sell yourself too.

Well you could merge it into Melt Music DJ's but I would cross that bridge when you get to it. You might come up with a name that you prefer in 2 years time.

The only reason I ask is because we are going into video DJ'ing within the next year. I wondered weather you could merge it into "Melt Music DJ"? But later down the line I would also be offering other services.:confused: :o

I Like both of them but "Melt Music Entertainment" is a bit of a gob full,:p but if this is more suited then I would go with it But "Melt Music DJ" sound a little bit better but not sure weather its right for purpose.:)

Stick with the DJ bit for now. Then if you do get bigger. You can then incorporate it into entertainment;) ;)

I personally think the word "melt" is a negative name and has nothing to do with Djing. I assume its an anagram or something.

It is different I will give you that but:

Your clients may think you will take thier money and scarper.
That will not be the case but the initial subconscious feeling may think that??
First thing that springs to mind to me is an ice cream left in the sun, but here is a dictionary definition (no 6 is the best):

2. To dissolve: Sugar melts in water.
3. To disappear or vanish gradually as if by dissolving: The crowd melted away after the rally.

5. To become softened in feeling: Our hearts melted at the child's tears.
6. Obsolete To be overcome or crushed, as by grief, dismay, or fear.

I do like your design and your approach so it can be worked to be a good thing, but a name is a name and is everything in my book. :)
