Video projector any one??

I've been using video as part of my show for a bit now and thought I'd invest in a better projector. Got an absolute bargain, brand new from ShopAcer (the acer direct shop).
2100 Lumens, unbelievably bright! (had to put in eco mode!)
Absolutely tiny in size (with case and all leads and remote)

and all for £362! (which after much research is a bl**dy good price for a projector this bright!)

That is good, I paid #1300 for mine, these units are getting cheaper and brighter. The critical thing is the Bulb life, and the bulb cost so check it. I think we are at 100 pounds for 500 hours now or thereabouts.

That's an excellent price, well hunted down that man! We're looking into VT stuff, and I know the last thing I will buy is projectors, just so the cost can keep dropping.....dropping....and dropping some more :teeth:

remember i'm using it for video , not from a pc...so anything better than 600 lines is a bonus!!!

I think this is particually low, although for visuals....it doesn't matter....okay if your in say a classroom enviroment running windows/word and what-have-you then it matters, but for the likes of us, its great.

Most native resolutions these days are the 1024*768 res. But yes a year or so ago 800*600 was the norm :)

If they were XGA resolution (1024 x 768) I would order a couple of those.

They do 1024 by 768 but only by using compression, so not true xga.. but good eneough for dvd visuals (which at the mo is all i'll be using)

Not sure on exact lamp price. They are usually around £200 - £250 from a retailer, but you can sometimes pick them up at a much lower price from eBay etc.

Just got mine today, very simple to use and star wars looks great to watch on the living room wall!

Hey funky mike, I've put mine in eco mode and its still extremely bright! plus you save the lamp hours.(and the first thing i watched on its was the hoth battle from empire!). I might even get another!!

I've now got two to sell soon, they're quite old but sturdy, one even take a halogen lamp (£11!!) and has full flight case, the other is a standard halide lampone , i'll take some pics etc when i get a mo.
