For those of you who wear dinner jacket and bow tie, how many of you wear a proper self tie bow tie?

And if you don't can you tie one?

I wear a hand-painted Bow Tie (not self-tie) which i bought years ago. It has a subtle design on it and I love it, mainly because it is not a large one.

If needed, I can tie them.

I have the same self tie bow tie that I've had for years, because of that reason.

They all seem to be big ones these days. :omg: :teeth:

I have to get the missus to do my tie up when I'm at a police... cough cough :teeth: ..I mean JOB interview......

Got the new Makro mail today and they are giving away a free dinner shirt and bow tie when you buy the jacket. Don't know of it's one with an elastic though.

I must admit, I can't stand anything coloured when it comes to formal wear. I hate coloured bow ties and shirts with coloured, patterned sleeves. Yuk!

Black tie is just that.

Small black tie for me on elastic (easier to wear)

I can't be the only one who wears a self tie one surely?

I use to wear a self tie bow tie. I can still tie one just find that after about an hour I want to take it off.
So I tried the elastic type first one was a bit on thin side, then got a wider one.
Tried the clip on, didn't like that type so brought another one last year, and that is ok.
