Last saturday i had a postponement due to there being a wedding on the same night, and half the people who would have been attending my gig were invited to the wedding. Not too worried it's a gig i do every year and strangely enough it was postponed last year due to snow and held in january instead.
The committee insisted i keep the booking fee and charge them in full when i do the re arranged gig,i did say i would just move the booking fee but they were adamant i keep it.
Next up cancellation for this friday 9th surprise 50th birthday, the birthday girl found out went ballistic doesn't want a party, oh well kept the booking fee.
Today i get a cancellation for friday 16th a xmas party night at a local hotel i have been playing at for the last 30 odd years, just not enough people booked in.
On the bright side they paid for their xmas dates including new years eve way back in september, and are more than happy for me to keep the money for the cancelled gig.
Ironically in the last 2 weeks i have had enquiries for all 3 dates and had to turn them down.
