Having purchased a wizard extreme (thanks Tony :beer1: ) I'd like to know what stand holds the light?

I want to be a horrible clone and have the light behind me without any overhead bar.

Links are much appreciated.

Cheers guys & gals.

The search facility is a wonderful thing. :p

( Though I'd have to admit that it took me ages to find the magic word to search for. ;) )

You could use this on top of a tripod, but I don't like the idea of them personally. http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=ULTCAST35TOP

I use a Powerdrive 2 foot bar with a casting and one of these (http://www.doughty-engineering.co.uk/cgi-bin/trolleyed_public.cgi?action=showprod_T58122)

The bar goes through the half coupler and then the casting goes into the bottom of the half coupler and onto the top of the tripod.

The Wizard then uses 2 clamps to go over the bar.

Thanks Darren - I've got the top casting but I need a stand to put the bugger on! Any tripod?

I would use a wind up one - Powerdrive or Ultimax. Don't get a cheap one.

Sorry to be pain but do you have a link for a suitable one? Under a £100 would be nice. I can't see how it attaches.

you might get an american dj wind up for that price, very sturdy but very heavy. the ones mentioned above will probably be at least twice that second hand

Slightly over budget but I noticed this offer by coincidence earlier this morning.

Can't get link as on phone but look at the thomman site for a bls-2700 speaker stand. Costs £64.03 Have used one for couple years now without problem and is the one used in thomman's wizard extreme bundle.

Will get link when home if needed.

Edit : managed to get link.

I use a standard winch stand. Simply attatch an ultimax casting to the wizard, then pop it on top of the tripod. The same way I mount them to the uprights of my wheel n winch.
I can post a link to a picture if you want?
