Who???
Only kidding. Although I've never seen the X Factor this year, I've heard nothing but Little Mix on local radio as they're (or some of them, I think!) from Joe McElderry-land, apparently!
Actually, South Shields has had it's share of famous people recently - Joe McElderry, Sarah Millican and now Little Mix. And it's got a cracking little crazy golf course next to Ocean Beach!!

Only because they had more like appeal than the winners, I mean come on - Joe McElderry?! Dull as a dull thing...
I personally like Little Mix, though. I predict they'll do well.

The other 3 will hold her back in a year or two and also why settle for a quarter of the cake when you can have a bigger one all to yourself, it's human nature ;)

Too flippin' right... at 12/1 (£1 bet) to be the top group, 12/1 (£1 bet) to finish in the top 3 and 66/1 to win (£2 bet) that's a nice £156 return thank you very much :)

Not watched (e)X factor at all, and don't really care who wins, but agree with Steve Hanley, look at Cheeky Girls, Jedward, etc. I saw a ad for Jedward in Panto here this year, Jedward & The Beanstalk ! Tickets are from €22 ! (no I didn't buy any :))

There are people doing far better than Cheeky Girls and JEdward..
JLS, One Direction, Olly Murs, Leona Lewis to name but a few...

Little Mix won't last, Perrie (blondie) is by far the best singer in the group and will go very far. The others, as proven in the whole serious get snippits of songs, and did they really need a 30 person choir to drown out their voices?
Marcus will obviously get a recording contract and release 50's versions of songs, Amelia (who should have won) will get a contract as she is such a powerful singer and screams Christina Aguilera.
I think Amelia will outsell both of them once she starts releasing songs.

I have only seen two programs this year, the repeat of Saturday nights show, and last nights. On the basis of what I saw Amelia lily should have won. Is it just me or does she remind anyone else of Pink.
Little Mix were the best of the two remaining finalists, but Amelia will definitely outsell them both in the long run. I thought her version or River Deep, Mountain High, with Kelly Rowland was brilliant.
For me though the best thing about last nights show were Coldplays radio controlled armbands, the effect was amazing.

Why do I NEVER get requests on the many play lists I get for Weddings and Parties over the years for anyone who has ever won or been on XFactor:confused:
I still believe that these days there are two markets---
COUCH POTATOES who never go to my type of function and watch these type of programs.
THE REST
Just my experience.

My missus Sky+ it and I watched the Darts (awesome last night).
I've seen the odd bits and bobs of the X Factor when she has been watching it.
I am of the same opinion as some others on here. From what I have seen and heard, the blonde has the best voice and will more than likely end up solo. The rest are, in my opinion just tagging along with her.
What I found both surprising and disgusting was seeing Leona Lewis sing a version of 'Hurt'. I never ever in a million years thought I would hear a Nine Inch Nails song on a show like the X Factor. A few people probably don't even know who Nine Inch Nails are and I guess it will be noted as being a cover of the Johnny Cash cover. Trent Reznor wrote the original and when Johnny Cash covered it before he died, Trent said that he thought it was better than his original!
Now Leona Lewis will probably have a massive hit with it.

I just don't see the hate for these type of programmes.
The artists from these programmes and the songs they sing on the shows as part of the competition make up a significant part of the charts and what is popular right now. There this is what a significant number of our customers will want to hear.
OK, the show itself if over manufactured, over dramatised and is a mechanism to rape the public of their hard earn cash, but it's part of life. As a DJ my job is have a broad knowledge of music and give my customers good service. Personally, I choose to embrace them for what they are.

I can and you've answered your own question.
OK, the show itself if over manufactured, over dramatised and is a mechanism to rape the public of their hard earn cash, but it's part of life.
I understand why people like it and why they get so involved, but ultimately it is one big money making exercise. If it wasn't, then why do it so that the winner's single achieves number one every year?
There have been some fantastic artists in the tops 3 over the years, but there have also been a load of :Censored::Censored::Censored::Censored:e that shouldn't be anywhere near a TV screen if the programme is a talent show.
Anyway, I have no problem with it, but it isn't my thing.

Only severe photo sensitive epileptics. The vast majority of epilepsy sufferers (including a couple I know who are photo sensitive) would have no problems.

I'd say dispelled, it's amazing how many folks are labouring under the same misapprehension. The explanation follows:
It's all to do with strobe rates. The speeds used on X-Factor shouldn't be a problem to most

I actually think LittleMix have great potential. Sure Marcus has a nice voice, but I'm sick of male soloists winning.
There hasn't been a girl group win a singing show since Girls Aloud (who I quite liked too). It'll be intersting to see just how the record company mould littlemix. I wish them the best of luck. :beer1:

In the first 7 years of the show 5 of the winners have been male (Steve Brookstein, Shane Ward, Leon Jackson, Joe McElderry, & Matt Cardle) how many of them still have an active career in pop music? The most successful winners were the other two.
Girls Aloud didn't win as such, there was always going to be a girl group (& a boy band) The individual members were the five winners of their category (the girls). One True Voice were less than successful, but were also technically winners.
