lightweight frontage ideas??

I have been open for a few years without any problems, but recently a guests who was spinning around fell into my gear and sent my laptop flying.

I have also had guests with thier backs to me hit the gear a lot so I want a barrier between the gear and the guests as a first point of contact. If anything it will make them think "oh there is something there i shall lean forward now"

The main thing is it needs to be semi solid but transportable?

my DJ on Sat had a pole with some fabric that looked good.

Any ideas?

My set up currently is a massive flight case, two subs and a black cloth, which looks pretty good but unlike a booth has nothing to attach too. Basically the same as below but without the subs and speakers as they are usually out of the way now.

Why not just get a deckstand and use the base without the crossbar?

Get A Deckstand brooth Pro V2 there transportable.

I think the DSB V2 is probably your best option. The Micro version is actually bigger than you think too.

The only thing with the DSB's and i'm trying to get over this, is that you wont be able to slide your laptop back, so you will need to use it at the side probably.

You would however be able to put your subs under the DSB for a clean look

get an ultimax wheel n winch deckstand and make a front barrier for the curtain,I made mine,Charlie witnessed it this weekend.

Not really looking at getting any stands or booths as i already have one which is my flightcases. its ideal at the moment as I do not have to store anything as it all gets used and does not take up and space in my already full astra van.

Definitely not looking at any thing overhead as i have never had or wanted such a set up. At the moment everything goes in in a short space of time so would not looking at increasing that much is poss. :)

what about a pull up banner like the advertising boards but wider? and cut the support pole to your height of your flightcase :) you could have it printed black or patterened whatever quick simple easy

What about 2 speaker stands with a 25mm pole between them (the kind you buy from B&Q) Then either use some clips to hold a piece of fabric to the pole or if you are good at sewing make a propper tab top to attach it. Whole thing folds down small and you are carry spare speaker stands as well.

I have actually come up with that idea tonight :)
It is not really very strong but acts as a first line of defence as a "ah there is actually something behind me" function.

That was my initial ideal and a very good one as it can be stored in my big pFlint case. The banner is a good idea as it will takemore less room and I can custom the graphics to be subtle but also double for advertising. :)

The speaker stands can also easily be knock over as the banner.
