I think you'll find they are used more widely that the Shure kit (wireless systems)

In fairness I can only speak for the theatrical/commercial use of the mics. But Senn are right up there as one of the top brands where wireless mics are concerned.

It's unfair to say they're used alot by your average DJ, because there not, most DJ's wont invest £350 in a wireless mic, and well done to them for realising it's a waste of money if your DJing.

I must state, I have used a Sennheiser in a theatre environment for a test run and I loved it! I didn't have to eat it and as such, I'm not thinking more about "is the mic near to me enough or not?" but concentrating on my performance.

Unfortunately that's been my only use of one :( - I should really start getting back into performing again. And I use the term "performing" advisedly :P

I use the Sennheiser e825 mic (not wireless), and I found the sound quality to be superb.

You dont need to spend that kind of dosh --got my JTS for under £200 and I find that very acceptable quality for constant vocal work--

Also if you are a personality DJ who talks from time to time you need a decent quality radio mike--speeches thank yous etc--theres NOTHING worse than announcements that cant be understood--

Sennheiser very nice mics but have yet to use one, but I would rate there headphones as A1

I use a Shure SM58S (lead) and a Sennheiser Evolution (radio) and have find them both to produce excellent quality sound.
