You need to make sure you have the sound settings configured properly in your software, What software are you using, VDJ?

Hi Graham.
When you say the headphones arent working... Do you mean they arent working at all or not working properly.
Because if you mean not working properly i might have a solution for you.

Settings for VDJ and the MC6000 are.
set the mix mode on the back to INT Mix
in the virtual dj options set the Output to external mixer.
and the soundcard to the Asio Driver / Denon DJ Asio Driver
As for the headphones mine dont work how they should.
As an Example
Deck A - Setup on Channel 2 of the MC6000
Deck B - Setup On Channel 3 of the MC6000
To use the headphones properly. I need to have the crossfader set to just video mode if i have it set to audio or audio and video. Its like your headphones are assigned to the crossfader because if you move it to the opposite side of the track i dont get any volume.

My headphones work fine with VDJ and I have mine set-up as per the settings on the VDJ forum - http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/4365/Denon_DN-MC6000_Configuration_And_Troubleshooting.html
