Prediction for 2012

After dramatic downturn in Quarter 4, anyone have any predictions of what forecast will be like for 2012.

Looking at our diary, the Q1 (Quarter 1) is going to be filled with prime time TV of wannabe dancers or Televised Karaoke. Q2, looking better but nothing to shout home about, Q3 is about the same and Q4 is absolutely zippo.

My prediction was half way through 2011, I hoped that 2012 was going to be a good year. With everything potentially going down the toilet with banks, euro and rate of unemployment I think 2012 is going to be even harder.

I went for "It's going to be great" as for me personally it is.

Advanced bookings going very well with 60 Confirmed Weddings for 2012 and 4 for 2013.

Yes, January is dead but the rest of the year looking good. My only quiet places are the end of October & end of November but these will get filled in the Spring round of wedding fayres and if they don't that's fine by me ;)

Difficult to say. My lead time on most bookings is rarely longer than 3 months, but this time last year I had plenty more in the diary than I do now.

I think it will be slightly up for me in 2012 than 2011 but not by nearly as much as I had hoped

Well over the last few years its got better and better..Looking to get a 3rd rig up and running so i have 3 all the same (close anyway)
Got around 62 gigs booked in so far for next year,
The only month which is quiet so far is November with only one Disco..
This time last year i had around 43 gigs and i have put my prices up..Website is working very well and getting more and more hits each month (dec a little quiet thou)
Hoping to get between 130-150 gig for next year and i am on target..

oh and my beautiful daughter will turn 5, which the most important thing!

I think there will be a little boost to the economy in 2012 with the Olympics happening. It will bring an extra bit of revenue into the country and will cause a bit of diversion from the doom and gloom. Whether or not that diversion converts to more discos being booked, we will have to wait and see.

I'm hoping 2012 will get busier work wise, but with the way the gigs are up my way at the moment it looks doubtful

Met all targets set for 2011 and expect to achieve the same next year.

I think the answer is to have a well-earned break following the seasonal festivities and then "hit the ground running".

Smaller weddings are on the increase... advanced bookings are still the same. Always seem to have about 60. Money is on the up... so will be better.

i have been busier this year by a mile, and haven't had a weekend off from mid october, and won't until 21st jan.

Certainly some bad signs, however there will still be loads of potential clients out there with LOADSA money to spend.

Im not saying where geographically ;)

As usual you will need a good story to tell to persuade people buying the product, this might take various forms--sound equipment, uplighting,
ability to Entertain, presentation etc

If you trade on cheaper rates there will be some pressure.

2012 should hopefully be up for us. As we turned the corner from 2010 to 2011 we had 2 (yes two) bookings for 2011 and managed to pull out a record year. We start 2012 with 35 confirmed bookings (and thats before G Casino have confirmed their dates with us) so it should be a decent year for us.

General economic conditions look like they will deteriorate. In the day job the number of distressed companies is definitely moving steadilly upwards. More job losses should lead to the readjustment the housing market needs. Even a 10% readjustment will be painful, but may as well take the pain and get the medicine into the market rather than bumping along ill.

I've got a good feeling about next year, things have gone from strength to strength when I started up again this year - Roll on 2012!

Looking good at the mo. up on this time last year, couple of new venues secured, which should start to impact shortly.

January very quiet but advance bookings for the rest of the year is up by 30% mainly weddings, so I am happy

We are in the Entertainment business selling a tangible product, service is simply a given within the overall concept.
