Hi,
Tonight i'm using my X500 for the first time. I tried it out with my Srm 450v1 tops and must admit the sound was awesome.
I normally set my mackies at 11-12 o clock, so what i want to know is what position should i have the gain control for each channel?
Many thanks

Turn the gain on the speakers all the way down
Play some music and Set your channel & master outputs so they read 0dB on the mixer
Increase the gain on the Mackies until clipping/limiting occurs, then back it off a tad.
Reduce the master volume to the appropriate level.

this method means you'll never clip or limit your speakers so long as you stay below 0dB on the master output meter.
