No not star wars.
I found this on the net , yes it is me  , on my fishing boat in Mevagissey harbour , around 1997/98.
Could be a very hard life , but on days like that , blazing sun , all the fresh air you could handle , and the sheer beauty of the south Cornish coast , made life all worth while....
brings back some memory's......

That's awesome ! Myself and my family lived in Cornwall for many years Newquay and Holywell Bay, we used to go to Mevagissey as a family for a Kickerboker Glory. My sister and I were once on the front cover of the Newquay & District holiday brochure on Newquay Harbour !!! Here's proof lol :D
The other picture is the business my parents owned RIGHT on Holywell BayBeach, we lived upstairs, what a beautiful spot it was. You might know it. I miss Cornwall :(

Brighton doesn't compare with the sheer beauty of the south Cornish coast :)

Or indeed the North Cornish coast, I agree worlds apart. Cornwall's coastline and beaches are up there with some of the best in the world imo.

Very true also the west coast of Wales is fantastic as well, visited it for the first time last year the beaches are great , had the best fish & chips I've ever had in my life in a little place called New Quay.

Used to be full time in the early nineties late eighties for about ten years fishing out of Poole Dorset.
Bassing with rod & line on the banks in the channel during the summer and potting most of the rest of the year except for netting sole in the spring and then Squid (inkers). The boat and gear had to be taken out of the water for a fortnight then to clean up  :)
Had a fast dory for bassing and a IP24 for the rest of the work.
Hard work, long hours (especially running along side of the disco) and eventually contributed to the break of of my marriage.

The model railway & aquarium still survive, sadly the cannery is now a block of flats, but still a beautiful place

Scottish passport 2012 on my ITV mate !
Cornwall is my favourite place in the whole world with St Ives being my very favourite.
I have not been to the whole world, but with Cornwall 6 hours drive away why bother with the rest of the world.
A pair of boots, a rucksack full of general stuff (choc, drinks, other random food) and a pocket of beer money. A day walking the coast, eating stuff sat on rock in deserted little bay with boots off and feet in sea. Oh look a pub selling brown beer. One of them then on my way again.
BLISS!

if we could guarantee the sunshine and blue skies, we'd never leave the uk for our holidays. We have some of the very best places to be found anywhere in the world

Absolutely agree , a pint of HSD and a home made pastie , and a gentle south-westerly blowing up the western approaches , I miss that almost perfect way of life . those summer mornings at 5:00 am , out on the boat , just me and nature.................
