Im heading down the VJ route as an addon to the disco services i already provide.

Ive just been out and bought my 2nd television screen for the videos. Now what i need to now. Is about my truss.

At present i have 2x Powerdrive Ref 330 Winch stands and 3m of Trilite in 2x 1.5m sections. Im intending on having a video screen at either side of the rig but as well as the TV's i need to get some lights up there as well coming under the max loading weight of 120kg.

The problem that i have at the moment is the max length i can carry is 1.5m
i was looking at some more sections of truss to make the rig in total between 4-6 or 6.

At this present moment in time i wont even attempt it until i know its safe.

What lengths of trilite truss could i use to extend my truss from 3m... in the safest possible way.

any help is appreciated.

Thanks

John.

You can find all the info HERE (http://www.opti-kinetics.com/truss/the-original-opti-trilite-210-exhibitions-theater-tv-concerts-and-displays-of-all-shapes-and-sizes/210-technical.html) The SWL of the truss at 6M exceed the SWL of your stands, so you will be OK as long as you distribute the load evenly

sorry i should clarify things a little better. The 6m length will be made of more of more than one piece of truss.

What lengths would i need to get to add to the 2x 1.5 sections i already have to make a 6m rig or 5m.

im not sure if i can get away with doing this with the truss joined in this order.

1.5m-1.5m-1.5m-1.5m = 6m
1.5m-1.0m-1.5m-1.0m = 5m
1.0m-1.5m-1.0m-1.5m = 5m

any ideas. Thanks.
