View Full Version : Wanted - Telephone headphone

I really fancy having an old fashioned telephone headphone - I only need to do basic cueing and love the idea of having something so retro plugged into modern equipment.

So before I search for a suitable donor telephone to dismember - does anyone have one already made sitting unused in their old equipment box they would like to sell (or even give) me. Any colour is fine but must have curly lead.

That's very kind of you Dave, much appreciated - and a choice of colours! I think a classic Black and a 1/4 jack (I assume L/R summed into mono would be best as I'd only be listening with one ear).

Let me know how much I owe you and I shall reimburse you for your time and effort (and postage of course) :)

I shall find a handset and get soldering next week!
those GPO rocking armature earpieces have out performed headphones for years! and the curly tinsel cords never fail
give me a week or so to sort one out.

It sounds a tad cheeky - but could you make another in Red?

My headphones gave up the ghost and need replacing.

Happy to reimburse costs etc.

Thank you

Also being incredibly cheeky as well, could I trouble you for one of these as well. Will look excellent on 70's & 80's nights.

Also V happy to reimburse..... :)

Debenhams in Woking had some Martin over Christmas, although I can't vouch for their quality!

Because I am sad I took a picture and put it on Facebook...

Horrible horrible horrible!

I used one for years and can't ever imagine going back to the tinny noise and hordes of people with the same, not very funny line asking who I was talking to...

That is actually quite funny. My kind humor although I can imagine it getting annoying.

TBO, when I went to my very first disco many many years ago, I did wonder that myself ;)
