As some of you may have read i'm potentially interested in buying a Bose L1 system to set my daughter up in the mobile disco business (please see my intro thread ;)).
This probably won't happen until at least June/July when my daughter finishes Uni. In the meantime, i'm currently organising a party for her 21st birthday (combined with my wife's birthday), probably for around 90/120 guests.
The venue usually insists on having their own recommended DJ. However, I know the venue owner and he would be happy for me to run our own disco as he knows I used to be in the industry and as he says 'he can trust me' (whatever that means :)). It would also give both my daughter and myself an opportunity to do a 'real' gig, and particularly for me to see if I really do want to get back into the industry.
I also figured this would perhaps be an ideal opportunity to try out some Bose speakers in a 'real' situation. So, if anyone knows of a dealer in West Yorkshire who may be prepared to let us try out some of these speakers i'd be most grateful. Obviously, i'm not expecting to get this for free, but I would expect a reasonable hire price if they were going to get a potential sale out of it.
