Dub Step (What Step???!!!)

[DiscoMagic]

HI

I have an 18th party and have been asked a for a little Dubstep, but as this is not my area of expertise I am looking for some insperation!!!

What are your recommendations for current dubstep that this age group would like and appriciate.

BTW - before someone says "Ask the client" I have and she is no help in telling me what she wants!

Thaks guys and girls :D :beer1:

Just find some sound effects of a dentist's drill. They'll be happy. Or play Shrillex, Nero, Chase and Status etc....
Mastermix have a dubstep Cd for £10.

I'm currently waiting on some track ID's for an upcoming 21st, I'll let you know what tracks are requested when I get the track request form back.

In the meantime, The sound of Dubstep series from M.O.S might be worth checking out.

Dub Step isn't my bag either but I do like the Scream remix of La Roux although the intro is very long on the original.
There's also a killer remix of Olive's - You're not alone but I can't remember where I got that so I will check tomorrow.

[Mark Wild]

Skrillex (not Shrillex lol) is hot property at the moment his Avicii Levels remix would be a winner ;)

Dubstep on a bone shaking system will put a smile on most dance music lovers face. I'm not a fan, but EVERY time I've been at a festival and found myself in the dubstep arena/tent it GOES OFF :D :D :D :D

[Dynamic Entertainment]

To me Dubstep is just drum n bass with the best bits missed out :o

Mind you I've left a club at 6am and seen people dancing around roadworks to a pneumatic drill. :D

Lol, i'm with Daz, found myself checking out past Dubstep playlists on my iTunes...some of it is quite interesting

[DazzyD]

I did a gig with dubstep requested last year and it was a first for me, too. I got lots of help and advice from the guys on here but I also came across some Dubstep versions of Rihanna tracks which went down very well.

I also bought this which I actually quite enjoyed playing from!!

I find that anything by Skrillex, Nero, C & S and Katy B works.

I have played this track a few times now. Nice little Dubstep section in the middle to break it down.
