Do not update to the latest software through Kies!

I had the unfortunate experience of doing this and for the update to be corrupt!

I have just bought the Galaxy S, and I have to say that Kies is absolutely :Censored: :Censored:, Mind numbingly slow and fragile. Have you tried Kies mini http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Telephony-SMS-GSM/Samsung-Kies-Mini.shtml this might work but apparently the Kies software is designed for the Samsung Bada OS.

Kies is absolutely shocking.

I've had to find a ROM to install the base package back onto my phone, lost everything.
