He was kind enough to pick up a couple of small :D items for me somewhere over hull way yesterday, and despite todays appalling weather conditions drove all the way up to cumbria to deliver them.

Actually, Andy's leaving a couple of salient points out.
First, the "Small Items" were a couple of Road Trunks which took up a similar amount of room as a small car!! :eek: :eek: ( When I arrived, we tried to fit them into Andy's motor, and it looked as if it would have been impossible to get them both in at once. )
Second, if I hadn't taken them, I had nowhere to put the :Censored: things while we waited for a courier. ;)
Third, the appalling weather conditions were only the two mile stretch of road outside my house. Rest of it was an absolute doddle.
Fourth, though he may not publicise it, Andy is a great source of help, information, and often gear, so as I said, my actions were not wholly selfless.

Andy, a pleasure as always. I hope you were in time for your appointment. I went in for a cuppa and a "comfort stop", and looked at my watch. Ten to three. Great, ten minute chat, "I'll set off home by three", I'd told Jeanette. An hour later.........................:o :o

I'm home now, fed and watered, and there's space in my van again. Job done. :D :D :D
