Met a client before a booking and felt so uncomfortable with them for whatever reason and pulled out of the booking?

It could be that you thought you may be putting yourself or your gear in danger etc

Happened to anyone before?

Not recently-but years ago in the Watford area there were certain Pubs and Community Centres that you DID NOT play at when asked.

Reason? Type of people going there were likely to threaten or assault you, start a fight, smash gear etc and then you might not get paid. :sad:

Sadly I remember doing one Wedding in Watford and one in Burnt Oak where the families of the B and G started fighting :sad: :sad: :sad:

Strangely I did get paid though :teeth:

I guess this is still true of venues wherever you live.

crazy yeah ive got one or two of those sorts of venues jotted down somewhere .

recently did a wedding

building evacuated 4 times as guests thought setting the tablecloths on fire was actually a party game

grooms uncle ejected for threatening his nephew over a nicked drink

grooms uncle using the run at the door and use head as battering ram to gain re entry to the function technique.....door was open said uncle ended up across 3 tables

brides father trying to be peacemaker with grooms uncle which ended in a nose to nose confrontation on the dancefloor.

security arrive 4 placed around the room and eject grooms uncle for a second time.

10.30pm party ends prematurely when security say enough is enough after yet another nose to nose confrontation on the dancefloor between groom and brides father the content i later found out was along the lines of "i told my daughter you were not good enough and that getting involved with your family was a bad idea shame she didnt listen"

police apparently called staff escorted to their cars dj with 2 security guards pack up down back entrance.

and no i didnt charge nearly enough to get that greif. lol

Around Jubilee year when punk was really taking off, at a village hall I was threatened by a knife to play the Sex Pistols (which fortunately I'd already got out for cueing), and the fire brigade were called twice - was also when 5000 Volts tune I'm On Fire was popular so coudlnt resist playing it. What was disturbing was that this was for someones 16th birthday. :omg:
