I'm revamping my lighting.
Going by the following criteria I'd like any ideas or suggestions
Relatively Lightweight (no fixtures over 15kg)
Easy set-up
Ideally get away from the overhead look
Simple sophisticated look.
DMX
Changeable gobos (need to use retro style patterns for a lot of my gigs)
Suitable for gigs for up to 250 people.
Budget - up to £1500

That's definitely the direction I'm going towards - don't think they have user exchangeable gobos though.
Been looking at the Dragon Scans as well.
I'm contemplating MH's for the exchangeable gobos so I can use them as a projector as well as having them moving - a lot of gigs I have swirly projections on the walls using my Solar 250's and I like experimenting - with MH's I can duplicate the effect but also use them as a more usual DJ effect as well.
Most likely candidates are a pair of Showtec Indigo 4500's (http://www.thomann.de/gb/showtec_indigo_4500.htm)
which also gives me some budget left over.
For MH's I'd want prism, rotating gobos and 2 gobo wheels - so it does restrict my choices. Unless anyone knows of any knew products coming onto the market very soon?
iMove 50SR's are nice as well (and a bit lighter) but I can't find them anywhere near the price that Thomann are doing the 4500's for.
Any other suggestions/ideas? I'm also open to totally different approaches.

I have 4 of the 50sr units, fantastic units, love them.
What is the best price you have found?

Best I've found so far is £614 each if I buy 2. It's still a couple of hundred more than a pair of Indigo 4500's though - and as far as I can see they have pretty much the same functions, I'm just gaining 3kg with the 4500's - and I can live with that!
Do you use any other lighting with them? I could stretch to 4 units if they were all I needed (apart from some colour-wash maybe).

That is four 50sr's with 4 led cans on the overhead rig.
If you do choose to go along that route, let me know the best price you find for 4 and I will see what I can do.

Will do thanks - but to be honest unless I can get the 50SR's for near the Thomann price of £540 each for the 4500's (including a controller) I'll more than likely be going with them.
