Yes, it's the eternal question-Lighting. Sound is a piece of cake, Ij ust dip into the Excalibur Pick'n'Mix PA repository, and take out something suitable. :D
Lighting, well just when you think you've got it sorted, you have a change of heart. Here's a thought which has been running through my mind for a while.
I love symetry, and I also wish to streamline the standard rig a bit. I have a Stairville Powerbar, which I dearly love, and most gigs, with a small laser each end, that's what goes on the overhead.
If I have time, and want to go for the big effect, I can add two or four Geni barrels.
Now if I got a second powerbar, they'd fit almost exactly on the uprights of a 4ft Ultimax ( with adaptors ) and I could fasten lasers onto the top of the bars, due to Thomann putting threaded holes on the top.
Is this a silly idea? Would I then have a mobile tanning booth, capable of turning most of my audience into Oompa Loompas?
I absolutely love the idea of a Wizard at each side of one powerbar, but sadly cost prohibits that idea. :( :(
Thoughts as always appreciated folks. Thanks in advance.
