To cut a long story short, I'm a joint executor of a relative's estate. The problem I face is that he's specified no religious service, or minister to be present at his cremation.
The thinking of both executors is that we should give the family an opportunity to say goodbye, and so while we can't sing hymns, or say prayers, we'd like to read out a potted history of his life, which was a full and happy one.
He served many years in the army, so that should be a big help, but if anyone has any tips on how we could find out more about his life, that would be appreciated immensely. There aren't many of his siblings left, and they wouldn't necessarily be a vast amount of help.
Thanks for your help folks.
