Martin Lynx Not Working Correctly

I have bought two used Martin Lynx 100 lights, neither were working, both motors dead in each dead. I've wired the motors directly to the power and both now work, when the sound-to-light unit is bypassed.

Anyone have any knowledge on the fault with the the circuit board that could be causing this? The PCB is small, one big resistor, a mic and a couple other components.

Obviously they are now useable, but it's not always ideal to have the lights continuously going, especially during slower songs.

Check voltage input and output of sound to light board (will be low voltage) - more likely to be a power failure to board than component failure on a Mic PCB possibly even a short at some point on the link cabling.

Don't attempt if in doubt - consult a repair techie
