1) Local Golf Club where I've been preferred supplier since the present management brought me in when they arrived. I've had nothing from them for ages, they didn't even ask for the staff party. :confused: Been heavily undercut by someone, methinks. Out of the blue, they rang up with a booking for a wedding there, so I will have to do a spot of investigation while I'm there.
2) Neighbour's party. They've booked a band, who "offered to play music while the band aren't". Till they spoke to me, they were going with that, and I could " Have a night off and njoy myself ". Yeah, like that's gonna happen as I listen to an Ipod on shuffle doing my job. :( :( :( :(
Two days later, they pop round and ask if I'm free, cos the music will stop at Midnight otherwise. As Mr Humphries would say "I'm free". Now I wreally will enjoy myself. :D :D :D :D :D :D
3) Insurance brokers. When we changed cars, WW3 broke out between my broker and myself, culminating in me telling them that as every policy we had with them came up, it would go elsewhere, regardless of prices. They redeemed themselves with my van, so I left that one, and the cause of the furore, the car came up this month. Original monthly payment was £50 per month, with a renewal offer of £40 per month with the company we shouldn't have left in the first place.
After an afternoon on price comparison sites, I rang them this morning with the results, and their offer was £25 per month, half the original figure! They still have my custom now. ;)
