Hi Guys

I am looking at getting a pair of these speakers as a backup to my passive system, my thoughts are that in by getting these it would cover any issues if the amp, speakers or mixer die as the speakers could take a diect feed from my laptop.

Has anyone ever used these or have any opinions on Gemini, I know they are no RCF or Mackie, but the spec looks OK of course I haven't listened to them.

There are much better solutions for backup for that price.

If you have the room, you can get a 2.1 system from DAP called a Clubmate15. There are people who love them and they can be had for under £500.

Also, I think they may have sold now, but I had a pair of LD active speakers for sale for £250. They would have been ideal. If they don't sell, I'll let you know.

Would certainly take a look at the QTX active range also.
More than happy with the back up pair I use.

Don't suppose anyone knows how they differ from the QTX QS15A, sorry but speaker specs are really not my strong point.

Unfortunately the 2.1 soundstage system is a bit bigger than I was looking to get, but it does look fab.

Sorry for not acknowledging sooner I was checking the forum from work so had to do quick replies ;-)

Right then I think I have got it down to 3 sets, all from QTX as these seem to fit my requirements and budget, but I am struggling to see the difference between these 3.

The one I have dwindled it down to are:-

QTX QS15A

The thing I like about the PAJ's is the ability to apply a bit of echo direct from the speakers, which would be really handy for karaoke, but not a necessity.

If anyone can lend some advice I would really appreciate it as this is driving me mad trying to make my mind up.
