Thanks. I've looked into it and those eligible to vote are previous clients and guests of previous clients, so technically No you can't ;)

I've emailed a few clients today about it and got some replies saying they'll vote etc so pleased with that.

I've got to go over to Liverpool for the awards night on the 18th April so that should be fun.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeell, yes. You have two choices in creating an account, to allow you to vote. Either create a Bridal Account, which may involve you getting married again, or as I did, a Supplier account for the Disco.
Let's just hope I'm not now bombarded with emails asking if I'd like an "Enhanced/Gold/Premium" membership for only huge amounts of money.

Well done. Such an award is worth at least £2,000 per year in advertising. I won the Scottish equivalent in 2008 and still get 5% of bookings as a result of it. Hope you win it.

You're right. Last year I made the Regional shortlist for the Wedding Industry awards but didn't make the final.

To be honest I don't know. I got an email last night and then a call from them this morning and they just said the readers had been voting and I'd made the national shortlist.

Must have been one of my previous clients that reads the magazine.

It all seems to have gone Pete Tong :eek:

The awards night is not until the 18th of April but there are a lot of rumblings on twitter & Facebook that they're not going to happen as it appears like the big boss has done a runner with all the cash from advertisers that have paid to be in the magazine and those that have bought tickets to the Awards night :daft:

Oh well. I was looking forward to a night out in Liverpool :(
