I have a pair of new led moving heads on there way to me and was looking for a case suitable to house them together. I like the protex type plastic ones but I wondered if anyone on here knew which case would fit them best.
They are actualy a new light but have the same dimensions as the chauvet 10 watt led spot.
The case I use for my martin acrobats is soo close to fitting them it is just a couple of cm too short. Any one have any ideas?

I have several arriba stackable rolling cases that I have sleeved inside with 10mm plywood.... Brilliant! They take up very little space in the van and are available in different sizes.

I did try the bags before but with moving heads I wanted to keep the weight down i was wondering if anyone used a protex case for a pair and what case fitted them well?

I use protex cases for all my moving heads. Lightweight and perfect.

I bought some Swan cases for 12" records for use with my XMoves- they do the job perfectly when used with the polystyrene that the lights came with (cut down to size a little bit).
Worth checking if that would work.

Yeah i did look at some lp cases. I saw another DJ storing 2 heads in one case and it was really compact and i thought that is how i wanted to store and carry mine. Havent had much luck finding out what case he used. looked like a slightly larger version of the protex one i store my martin acrobats in.

I bought a protex case designed for genesis scanners in the end. They arrived and with the extra depth that scanners need it means i can leave the mounting bracket on it for fast setup.
I will be taking my new toys out for a test drive this weekend and will hopefully get a video / pic of them in action.
