Employment insurance and health insurance?

Probably not the right term but can anyone point me in the right direction a good policy that will cover me if I have a serious accident and for general health. Basically something that will pay me a wage if I become unable to perform the job I am doing now.

Thanks :)

Check with your bank. My personal account is with Lloyds and they arranged me a very good deal.

Alternatively seek advice from an independant financial broker. I went to one and got great advice as well as very competitive life insurance, wifes pension and they also advised me about using the bank for illness cover.

I used to have a policy with Forresters (http://www.foresters.co.uk/) that had cover for if I lost income due to illness. I've also had a PPP policy with the same kind of cover (http://www.axappphealthcare.co.uk/personal)

But, doing a quick websearch, I've found ASDA Finance also do an income protection policy (ASDA Finance (http://www.asdafinance.com/landing_pages/income_protection/?tmcampid=3&tmad=c&tmplaceref=PPC_Generic_Advised_IncomeProtection_Oc t2011&cmpid=ppc_Advised_Life_Generic_000628)) which could be worthy of further investigation.

Because I have a full-time day job as well now I've no need for all this cover so but I do have a personal healthcare policy that goes someway to covering expenses should I be ill and not able to work.

I'd suggest starting looking here-

And read the relevant sections.
Then when you've decided always check Quidco.

I would not buy an Insurance Product from a Bank.

Or invest any money with them.:daft:

Personally I recommend a proper Independent Financial Adviser.

The cost is unlikely to be cheap for a Professional Entertainer though.:(
