Hi All,

Just wondering how enquiries are for others at the moment, particularly in the West Midlands area?

Seems to have gone a little quiet over the last couple of weeks, compared to late Jan and early Feb which was pretty good.

Same for us in Cambridge Jamie. We had a manic, unexpected Jan & Feb. Things seem to have dropped off a little bit. Still have weekly hire to promoters & Djing to keep us going though :)

Don't know about any others but I've had 7 enquiries for quotes since Tuesday which is way above the norm for me. Only problem is that I've never had anyone come back to me.... yet!

Very quiet here at the moment considering the manic January and February.

This month is my worst for bookings.

Well i had 26 enquires last week and so far got 3 of them as confirmed..
I am fully booked every fri and sat in March with 1 tues wedding so its very busy..April is quiet with only 5 confirmed booking and 2 uplighting jobs.
Although this week i have only had 7 enquires so far..

Agreed, although I'm still getting enquiries (and bookings), but it has dropped off a little here too.
Jan & Feb was good, March so far has been fairly quiet - still it's only the 8th I suppose... :)

Keeping busy here and looking busier than last year for the next couple of months but having to cover all the West Midlands and further to fill the diary completely out... :D

I took 12 in this morning from the same venue - and a lot of credit goes to my deckstand booth and rear up-lighting which the venue manager said looked very professional when I worked there for the first time last week.

I think these things can give you and edge in lean times so from a slow start, we are back to normal.

The last couple of weeks have been pretty quiet for enquiries, so quiet I've had to resort to organising cables and cleaning dance floors myself

I'm not that worried though, from April through to September is busy and there's still time to take more, plus all the last minute stuff!

I've just made a few suggestions on that front in "the secret place" ;)

4 enquiries yesterday 1 anniversary confirmed, 7 today 1 kids party confirmed. I get disco and children's entertainer enquiries but at £180 for 2 hr kids it is sometimes better as I am home early. Can't complain but they are well in the year and it is slow at the moment.

Hello from the South Midlands Jamie.

Plenty of enquiries here.

Plenty of time wasters and tyre kickers as well:eek: --

Plenty of Charity enquiries (also mainly time wasters)

A few people not even paying deposits and blanking us--they get blown out after a warning these days.:daft:

No more Alice Cooper (Mr Nice Guy) after last years experience.

So yes a bit slow but still some quality work around although I am travelling long distances for it--Suffolk, North Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire etc.

Interestingly my tactics of knocking Sid seem to be having some success recently:D

Things are building at a pace I'm comfortable with, finally sealed my first July booking last night, after being nicely busy in April, May, June and August. Just need an October date or two and I'll be on track to exceed this years target!

Things are picking up. June will be a mega month now.

I have had several - I know its short notice, but conversations over the last week. Very odd, but there you go I am not about to start complaining.
