smoke machine controller

hi another smoke machine control thread
have replaced the iec plug on the end of my remote for the controller smoke machine is getting warm but remote not working will any controller with a 3 pin iec lead work, my smoke machine is a lex f800 looks very similar to chauvet hurricane 800.

Well if its getting warm that would suggest the heater is working but maybe a failed pump.

Are you getting any leds lighting up on the remote ? Could be a broken wire in the cable. I had the same issue with a brand new Lex fogger. But rather than taking it back, I replaced the broken cable with a longer one and it works fine ever since.

No leds lighting up on the remote fortunatley able to borrow a friends smoke machine for gig tomorrow and i have ordered a remote off ebay that will hopefully do the job.
Remote i have at the moment isnt looking like it can be taken apart to replace the cable

still no joy have ordered a remote but fear it will be wrong connection have emailed both lex lighting and the retailer where i brought the machine from but still no joy. grrr

(why is there a voice in im my head saying well you do get what you pay for and maybe you should have spent more and got a chauvet etc....)
