dbx drive rack px?

been googling about thinking of compressor limiters, eq's etc and was wondering would my current powered active system benefit from a dbx drive rack px?

it says it is specially aimed at powered speakers?

I currently run 2x qsc k10 and 1 qsc k sub which I believe after reading a few threads on here I can say are powered and active right?

so would I benefit from one of these?

Is there anything wrong with your current sound or are you just looking for the want of buying a new gadget? :p

They're fantastic for tailoring your rig precisely to the room you're playing in....but unless you're having bother getting the control you need out of your current setup I'd say you're best off saving your money.

The AutoEQ feature was handy a few years ago when the majority of speakers only sounded "so so" (unless you went high-end) - but technology has come on a long way lately and chances are your system sounds fine as it is!

I use such a device with the QSC K12s and KSubs. I bought one so I could get a more accurate EQ in some problem venues. Had a few teething probs with the set-up.. but now very happy with it.

I have a driverack PA and use it as my crossover and EQ. If you already have a crossover and are happy with your sound then the only benefit is the limiter and EQ.

id dont have a crossover as such as a separate unit i just use the internal crossovers in the qsc speakers? run either mixer tops then bin, or mixer bin tops,
am i right in thinking i could use the drive rack instead of setting the tops to ext sub and get better control of the freq sent to them? giving a sweeter sound.

or as the cabs have some sort of dsp in them being powered and active is this piontless? bit like having a active crossover and a passive cab without the crossover bypassed :S

Ive been looking at this purely as a limiter for a pub that has powered speakers (im friends with the land lady). Is it worth it as a limiter alone?

not been on for a while to check this thread, so am i right in thinking with this such unit i can control exactly what frequencys go to my sub, and get a better more punchy spounding bass? by having a top cut off and a low cut off too, and the same for the tops? and also add limiters to the whole set up too and save this so i can just tweek it if needed?

:) ideal is it hard to set up to get it to sound how i want? with the k sub i find it limits very easy am i right in thinking with the driverack i can eliminate horrid sounding frequenys and send nice bass to the sub so get less limit more niceness
