I think there's a variety of things you could say that are acceptable :)

"I run a mobile DJ company"
"I run an events company"
"I'm a mobile Corporate and wedding DJ"

or my personal favourite

"I'm an entrepreneur" :D

I just say I'm the director of an entertainments company.

For me it depends on who I'm talking to, if its a corporate client then I run a corporate events and conference company, if its a wedding planner then I run a wedding and events company and if its a DJ "I'm a DJ too mate" :)

Not really. I don't want to go down that avenue again with the whole Full Time vs Part Time thing....BUT...

Maybe it's habit? I don't know?
I think by me saying (when asked) that I'm full time means that it's what I do, simple as that. Strange really, not sure why I have to say full time, I just do.

But out of business, socially I just say I'm a DJ and have my own business.

That's what I was thinking. When I tell people I'm a DJ I tend to get a cool response - including "Another one??". People round here just don't seem to share my passion for DJing!! Must be a local thing, Chris!
