How Often ?

I was wondering how ofeten people update there Facebook or Twitter status etc

Ie: Do you do it every day with new news regarding bookings, or do you do it quite alot per day regarding different things like:

About new equipment
What your doing
Client booking/meetings
Social life

Was just curious as to what people update and when and how much?

Facebook: Usually just before, sometimes during (if I have time!) and after an event (uploading photos/video), also occasionally through the week if I think on.

Twitter: Not often enough! - It's a great networking tool and I don't use it enough!

Need to get my blog up and running on my site too so I can post random ramblings about what I get up to

When I have something worth shouting about, no golden rule really with facebook IMO.

Why do you find you use Twitter more ?

Or update more is it due to more Business contacts more business's on Twitter ?

Twitter is more "chatty" really with the way its set out. Plus its really easy to have conversations with various people.

This is why i started the thread to find out who does what and why and whats the difference they find

I find Facebook is ok if you have a few accounts ie: personnol, business as its good to reach and advertise on for free as there is ALOT of groups for the likes of venues and wedding companys/ ckaes companys the likes which entertainment could be added etc

Twitter i only have a business one but of cause you can update as and when with anything but find it is more for business use (unless you add certain people etc)

So feel that twitter is limited were as facebook can reach joe bloggs and get more work in (maybe)

I updated my Facebook status on Boxing Day. Before that it was in April 2011. I don't think I've posted on Twitter since I joined.

I actually find its the other way round, facebook is more of a closed network while twitter has the ability to reach anybody on there

Facebook - never. Mind you, I haven't set up the business page yet so that may change in time.

Twitter - not enough. I set it all up on my LG touch screen phone which then went and broke. I'm using an old Sony Ericsson now which is more of a camera than an internet phone so updating statuses on the move really isn't practical. And when I get back on to the laptop, the moment has gone and I've nothing to say! :shrug:

I don't use Twitter, although I really should.
I update my facebook business page approx once a week. I think there is a fine line between not posting enough, and posting so much that it starts to annoy people.

Im with Neil as I think twitter is more open an i find a lot of venues and wedding planners are now starting to follow me, Hopefully a good thing in time.

Facebook: I can't log into my facebook business page. I posted about ita few weeks ago, I was able to log in once since then, then the option disappeared again.

Twitter: I'm never on it. In all honesty, I just don't know how to go about getting the best out of it.

Shaun, you have us as friends on Twitter, Talk to us and watch the things we retweet, Retweet them then sometime the people you retweeted for then follow you, look down at who we are following and follow them and retweet some of their tweets.

Just leave it at that. I get guests "liking" the page as they appear in photos and have obviously had such a great time.

If they want to enquire, they will.

They are interested in your product or service. Doesn't mean they have a requirement.

It's what I like to call the 'nurture' phase of the sales cycle. They've effectively signed up to 'Charlie Brown News'. Keep giving them news so they don't forget about you ... but not too much or they feel it's too intrusive. :) :)

It may be they were at a function you previously, and have only just found your facebook page. just accept it as a new "like"
