Looling at the features...its a gimmick not aimed at the pro/semi-pro market.

10 band EQ on the output....great....except that a 3 bank eq on each channel wouldnt go amiss.

Sound effects...hmmmm...maybe carl Cox can get away with a machine Gun effect...then again ;)

I would be looking elsewhere with your £130

Citronic do the CDM8:4 which, whilst not massivly pro orientated, is perfect for the average mobile jock IMO.

I concur.

No XLR connectors for mic inputs or main outputs.

No EQ on each channel, just the 10 band graphic on the main output and that is split into separate left and right graphics.

I wouldnt want to use one let alone actually buy one !!!

When I used the ( backup, I hasten to add ) Legendary Prosound MMX-410, I always used to amuse myself for the first ten minutes by machine gunning ,lasering and and bombing the audience. :o :o :D :D

Back in the late 80's I had a small sound effects box that I bought from one of the cheap tatty souvenier shops in town for a couple of quid. I used to plug that into my mixer and use it at one of the local holiday camps. Pretty sure I still have it kicking around in my garage somewhere. :lol:

My eyes must be going - the specifications for the unit say its 2 rack units high... Making it 3.5 inches - surely the faders alone are longer than 3 inches. :-)

Aside from the blue led glow from under the faders, it reminds me of a 1980s Tandy/Realistic mixer - or indeed any unbranded/re-branded/ re-badged OEM mixer of that era.

I'd avoid that model. Citronic had made at least a few variations of their 10:4 mixer for a few years - give that a look if that's the sort of price point you're looking for.

Aviod what model? The 8:4?

Ive had 8:4's and I've had 10:4s and theres nothing in it between them IMO..infact ive still got an 8:4 in a backup box, and a 10:4 in a pub I do. I prefer the 8:4s compactness.

dimensions say 49 x 24 cms

24cms = 9.45 inches = 5.4U so not even a standard size :lol:

Sorry, I meant avoid the Ibiza pro mixer which headlined the thread - in fact, it might be a good rule of thumb to avoid anything with both Ibiza and Pro in the same title...

The Citronic range of mixers, whilst much better in their earlier, UK (Ahhhh Melksham) is a reasonable mixer, for its price point.
