active crossover question

hi guys just a quick one, instead of using an active crossover for my bass bins and tops- could i use a 2 way into 4 way splitter from my mixer to 2 seperate amps as my bass bins have built in crossovers?????

I'm not sure I understand the question, but it is possible to run without a crossover thus. Feed the tops full range, from one output/amp, and feed the subs from another output/amp. The crossover in the subs will remove the HF from them, but it's not an efficient use of kit, since an active crossover will always waste less power than a passive one.

It's feasible, but not a method I'd recommend, unless I was forced to.
