Got a wedding coming up soon who have just emailed me thier first dance and, looking at their requests I wondered if anyone had any other ideas for great tracks to accompany them?

First dance - Jim Croce - Time In A Bottle

other requests:

Fleetwood Mac - The Chain
Meatloaf - Out of the frying pan
Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road / Born to run
Eagles - Hotel California
Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight
Meatloaf - Paradise by the dashboard light
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammet
T Rex - I Love to Boogie

am gonna play some others like Derek & The Dominoes - Layla, Eric Clapton - Bad Love, Brucey - Born In The Usa etc but anything else that you can think of thats not by the artists already requested?

Any of the following would fit into a similar ball park

Credence Clearwater Revival
The Stones
Van Morrison
Bellamy Brothers
Stealers Wheel
Rod Stewart
Bowie
Queen
The Jam
Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel

I used to play some of those tracks regularly at the rock night I used to do when I started out DJing. Other tracks that went down well include Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear The Reaper, Gary Moore - Parisienne Walkways and Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water.

Mind you, I think Corabor Steve could be a good friend to have for advice on this playlist!

Sounds like it could be a good show. Enjoy! :)

Many thanks so far - Hadn't even thought of Gary Moore, but that track is a classic so perfect!

Anyone any others?

Am also thinking the original Sweet Home Alabama may work too.....

Love it!

Some great suggestions already - I'd try some Steely Dan ~ Reelin' In The Years, Do It Again :) , but maybe not Haitian Divorce

It would be great to see what you played once you've done the gig.

Cheers
